FAMILIES
At Northside, we want to see and experience safe and genuinely intergenerational spaces where children and young people can follow Jesus, encounter God and overflow with life.
Children
On Sunday mornings (during the 9:30am service), we facilitate safe, distinct yet fluid spaces between different childrens’ age groups (crèche, preschool and primary). We desire for our children to have fun, to belong, and to learn to participate in the life that Jesus gives. We hope that they feel at home (and not at school!) as they encounter God and each other.
Each of our leaders have a current WWCC and up to date safe spaces training.
Young People
Every second Sunday morning during the school term (during the 9:30am service) our high school age young people enjoy time together and with a team of experienced leaders. Our focus is on mentoring and formational discipleship. Young people are also invited to participate in the community on the other weeks.
Each of our leaders have a current WWCC and up to date safe spaces training.
SAFE MINISTRY
Northside is committed to providing places, services and programs that promote physical, emotional and spiritual health and safety and model the love of Christ to all whom we have contact with, particularly children, young people and vulnerable adults. A copy of our Safe Church Policy handbook can be found here.
DOMESTIC & FAMILY VIOLENCE
Northside is committed to responding well to and reducing domestic abuse (in all its forms) in our community, and to supporting healthy relationships at every level. Through our Pathway of Care; our aim is to listen, to believe, and to support anyone who is experiencing domestic abuse. We are also part of the Crows Nest Safe Village Project. We are working towards the goal of being genuinely trauma-informed in our Sunday services and our pastoral care.
GROUPS
We have a number of connect groups that meet during the week. If you would like more information or to join a connect group, you can contact us here.
A Facebook group set up by members of our community to pay prayerful attention to creation. We are participating in worship when we bear witness to God’s creativity.
